MAN FOUND FATALLY SHOT IN EDGEWOOD

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Harford County sheriff's deputies are investigating the fatal shooting of a man whose body they found in the 600 block of Yorkshire Drive in Edgewood on Friday morning.

Police said the victim, identified as Brandon Jerome Sanders, 25, of Edgewood, died of gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Monica Worrell, a department spokeswoman, said there were no suspects but that the shooting, which was classified as a homicide, did not appear to be random.

Sheriff's deputies responding to a 911 call at 7:30 a.m. Friday found the victim's body in an open space near a home in the Harford Square area of Edgewood.

Neighbors in the area had heard gunshots between 11 p.m. and midnight on Thursday, authorities said, but declined to call 911.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective John Aksomitus of the department's Criminal Investigative Division at 410-836-5472.
