Police arrest 2 suspects in Howard armed robbery

Two men from Prince George's County have been charged by Howard County police with robbing a Jessup bank Friday. David Wayne Holloway of Landover and David Dwayne Ford of Forestville are charged with armed robbery, handgun violations, robbery, first-degree assault, endangerment and theft, police say. They are accused of robbing a Bank of America branch in the 7300 block of Assateague Ave. shortly before 10 a.m. No customers or employees were hurt, police said. After the robbers left the bank, a nearby witness noticed two men in masks switching cars and told an off-duty Howard County police officer, who pursued them, police said. The men drove off, abandoned the car and were captured after a foot pursuit, police said. Holloway, 43, is being held without bond. Ford, 26, is held on $1.5 million bond.

Robbery suspect wanted by county, State Police

State Police in Harford County are looking for a middle-aged man suspected in at least four robberies in Edgewood last week, with the most recent incident occurring Friday evening at the Walgreen's Pharmacy on Pulaski Highway. Police said the same man robbed the CVS Pharmacy and twice robbed Friendly's Restaurant, both of which are also on the highway. Baltimore County police said they have connected the same suspect to several robberies in the western part of that county. In all four Edgewood incidents, witnesses have described a man in his 40s wearing a khaki-colored, hooded jacket that hides his features. During the Walgreen's robbery, the suspect pulled his jacket up and displayed the butt of a handgun. Police said the same person robbed the Friendly's Restaurant on the morning of Nov. 10 and again Wednesday evening and then struck the nearby CVS Pharmacy that night. Anyone with information on the crimes or the suspect is asked to call the Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
