Fawcett's cancer spreads to liver

Farrah Fawcett is being treated for anal cancer that has spread to her liver and has been hospitalized in Los Angeles for a complication from a routine treatment, a producer who worked with the actress and her doctor said Monday.

Confirmation that the cancer had spread to such a distant site was dire news. The actress, 62, was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006.

She was declared in remission on Feb. 2, 2007, but three months later, scans showed "not only had it recurred, it metastasized to her liver," producer Craig Nevius said.

Chris Brown pleads not guilty in assault

Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to threatening and assaulting his girlfriend, fellow music superstar Rihanna.

The R&B; singer, 19, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday alongside his attorney.

Brown was charged in March with felony assault and making criminal threats.

Aiken offers model behavior as judge

Clay Aiken says his American Idol experience helped contestants appreciate his comments when he was a judge on an episode of America's Next Top Model to be aired Wednesday.

"I think the girls kind of appreciated that, the fact that I had been in a similar position," Aiken, 30, said. "I was going to be a judge, yes, but be a judge who understood a little bit about what they're going through."
