City girl, 16, charged in Dec. death of man
Authorities have charged a 16-year-old West Baltimore girl with first-degree murder in the death of a man whose body was found in Leakin Park in December. Members of the warrant apprehension task force arrested Greshauna Rogers of the 2900 block of Ridgewood Ave. on Thursday, Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman, said yesterday. Rogers was charged as an adult with first- and second-degree murder; first- and second-degree assault and conspiracy. The body of Petro Taylor, 20, of the 2700 block of Gwynnmore Ave. in Woodlawn in Baltimore County was discovered in woods off the 4400 block of N. Franklintown Road on Dec. 30, police said. Police believe Taylor was killed on the 5800 block of Reisterstown Road and his body dumped in the park, Moses said.
Police identify man killed in N.E. Baltimore
City police identified the man who was fatally shot late Monday near the Alameda Shopping Center as Rodger Evans Jr., 24, of the 5000 block of Westhills Road in West Baltimore. Northeastern District police responding to at least one shot fired in an alley in the 5600 block of Sagra Road near Cochran Avenue in Northeast Baltimore found Evans lying on the pavement, bleeding from a bullet wound to the head. Evans was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Man, 33, is fatally shot in West Baltimore
A 33-year-old man was shot and killed early yesterday in West Baltimore, police said. The victim's name was being withheld pending notification of family members, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman. Officers responding to a report of a shooting in the 2500 block of W. Baltimore St. about 1:15 a.m. found the man lying on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. The man was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:54 a.m., police said. No arrest had been made, and police said they knew of no motive in the killing.
