Where:: Hampton Roads Convention Center, 1610 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, Va.

When:: Festival opens Thursday and continues through March 1. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 1.

What:: The Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, featuring more than 250 vendors offering quilting supplies, sewing-related craft items, clothes, textiles and more, will be held. There will also be exhibits, lectures and workshops. This year's theme is "Virginia Is for Quilters."

How much: : Admission is $14 (includes re-entry), free for children younger than 16.

What's nearby:: The Hampton Day Pass offers admission to five attractions, including Virginia Air & Space Museum, Hampton Carousel and the Hampton History Museum. The pass is $31 for ages 12 to adult and $21 for children ages 4-11.
