Northeastern Baltimore

Barricade A man believed to be armed held off police last night for a time in his house in the 4500 block of Furley Ave., after a woman fled the dwelling during a domestic situation. Traffic was detoured, and nearby residents were warned to stay inside while police tried to persuade the man to surrender.

Eastern Baltimore

Stabbings Two inmates at the state's Baltimore City Detention Center were hospitalized yesterday after each was stabbed during a fight in a shower about 9:30 a.m. One man suffered stab wounds to the upper body and arms and was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The other was stabbed in an eye and the torso and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The wounds were not life-threatening, said Mark Vernarelli, a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

Theft A car stereo valued at $300 was stolen Tuesday from a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier taxi parked in the 1800 block of N. Washington St.

Stolen vehicle A 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis with tags 1CM 557 was stolen Tuesday in the 1500 block of Ashland Ave.

Southeastern Baltimore

Robbery Someone entered Quizno's in the 2800 block of O'Donnell St. on Wednesday and stole a tip jar containing $3.

Robbery A man, 30, was walking toward his car parked in the 1000 block of E. Pratt St. about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was knocked to the pavement by two men who robbed him of a cell phone valued at $250, $200 cash and a gold ring. The man sustained injuries to his nose and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrests had been made.

Robbery Police were seeking two teenage males who attacked a man, 26, as he stood outside a liquor store in the 3400 block of E. Baltimore St. Wednesday night and robbed him of nearly $200.

Theft Someone broke into the storage lot at Bob Bell Pontiac in the first block of Kane St. between Feb. 13 and Wednesday and removed catalytic converters from seven vehicles. The converters have a total value of nearly $5,000.

Robbery A man, 33, was walking to his home in the 900 block of Fawn St. about 1 a.m. Wednesday when another man struck him in the face and robbed him of $20 and a cell phone.

Theft A blue 2004 Suzuki 750cc motorbike with North Carolina tags T2294 was stolen between Feb. 12 and Tuesday from in front of a house in the 400 block of S. Robinson St.

Burglary A computer and several gold rings, all valued at $2,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3700 block of Claremont Ave. by someone who entered through a second-floor window.

Baltimore Co. - Essex

Burglary Someone broke into the Elks Club of Essex in the 1000 block of E. Homberg Ave. through a rear window Wednesday and stole $120 from a cash register.

Burglary Video games and several watches, all valued at $560, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1100 block of Sandy Stone Road by someone who entered through a rear bedroom window.

Baltimore Co. - Towson

Burglary Lawn-care tools and equipment were stolen between Saturday and Tuesday from a shed in the 1500 block of Doxbury Road.
