Tigers can't stop Tribe's Schneider

William and Mary 76, Towson 54 -Junior Hairston had 13 points and nine rebounds, and Josh Thornton added 13 points in the host Tigers' loss to the Tribe last night.

Junior guard David Schneider was on the bench nursing an injury in the first Towson-William and Mary meeting Jan. 28 in a Colonial Athletic Association game won by the Tigers. He was very much present in the rematch, scoring a game-high 26 points.

The Tribe improved to 9-17 and 4-12 in the league to pull even with the Tigers, who fell to 9-19 and 4-12.

Schneider led the Tribe on a run that bolted William and Mary to the front early. After taking a 5-2 lead on Schneider's first points, a three-pointer from the top, the Tribe never trailed.
