TIME: Today, 4 p.m.: Round of 32 begins, followed by second round and first- and second-round consolations. Tomorrow, 10 a.m.: quarterfinals; 1 p.m.: semifinals and consolation semis; 5 p.m.: finals and consolation finals.

OUTLOOK: Wrestlers from 31 teams will compete. Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference and tournament champion Mount St. Joseph will be there, as will McDonogh. B Conference champ St. Vincent Pallotti will also be there, as will strong challengers DeMatha, Loyola, Archbishop Spalding and Archbishop Curley. Mount St. Joseph will have three defending state champs here: Karl Green (heavyweight), Bobby Bowman (152 pounds) and Danny Orem (135). McDonogh features two-time private school champ Curtis Holmes, as well as Alex Pagnotta (189) and Shane Milam (171), who have each won one state crown. Curley sophomore Brett Przywara, who won at 103 last year, will be attempting to win at 119, where the Gaels' Frankie Goodwin also will wrestle.
