No. 9 J. Carroll tops No. 3 Calvert Hall for eighth straight win

Wyatt Smith scored a game-high 28 points as host No. 9 John Carroll upset No. 3 Calvert Hall, 81-68, yesterday.

The Patriots (23-8) led most of the way in a fast-paced game and finished each quarter with at least a 10-point lead. The win was John Carroll's eighth in a row. Jon Graham had 23 points for the Cardinals (27-4).

No. 2 St. Frances 75, St. John's-Catholic Prep 63: : Grandy Glaze had a game-high 41 points in a losing effort for the visiting Vikings. Wayne Sparrow led the Panthers (25-3) with 14 points.

No. 6 City 47, Archbishop Spalding 32: : Nardie Bogues scored 14 points as the host Knights (15-5) beat the Cavaliers. After City took a 12-8 lead, it never trailed.

No. 7 Milford Mill 64, Hereford 43: : Josh Glascoe scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Millers (18-3) past the host Bulls (10-11). Hereford's Cole Fisher had a game-high 19 points.

IAAM quarterfinals

No. 3 Seton Keough 67, Towson Catholic 34: : Katelyn Fischer and Asya Bussie combined to score 29 points, 15 and 14, respectively, as the host Gators (20-8) beat the Owls in the A Conference.

No. 9 Archbishop Spalding 32, Roland Park 28: : Maggi Morrison scored 13 points to lead the host Cavaliers (19-7) past the Reds in the A Conference.

No. 11 Mercy 47, No. 10 McDonogh 37: : Ava Trageser had 14 points as the host Magic beat the Eagles in the A Conferece.

No. 13 St. Paul's 45, Maryvale 26: : Simone Newsome (11 points) led a trio of double-digit scorers, including Janelle Fleet (10) and Samantha Murray (10), as the host Gators (24-1) beat the Lions (11-12) in the B Conference.

St. Mary's 42, Bryn Mawr 30: : Katie Bolhorst scored 14 points to lead the Saints (18-7) past the visiting Mawrtians in the B Conference. St. Mary's started the third quarter with a 14-0 run.

Severn 44, Mount de Sales 32: : Leanne Hug had 23 points to lead the host Admirals (21-4) past the Sailors in the B Conferece.

Catholic 56, AACS 54: : Tied at 54 with a minute to go, Catholic's Kaitlyn Ratych (22 points) scored the go-ahead layup as the visiting Cubs (10-8) beat the Eagles in the C Conference. Catholic was down by 10 at the end of the third quarter.

Park 55, Beth Tfiloh 33: : Rose Coll scored a game-high 24 points to power the host Bruins (20-3) past the Warriors in the C Conference. Park extended its 16-11 first-quarter lead by holding Beth Tfiloh scoreless in the second quarter.
