What:: The No. 6 River Hill girls went into this weekend undefeated but should face a tough test Tuesday against county rival Howard, No. 14 and 13-2. The Howard Lions carried a six-game winning streak into a weekend game against Hammond, a team it had handled with relative ease earlier this season. The Lions are led by Brandi Wingate and Nyree Williams, who will have to be on their toes to beat the Hawks. River Hill, which depends on Alicia Seelaus and Shantel Oliver to lead a balanced attack, won the first meeting between the two, 67-41.

State Dual Meet Tournament:

Semifinals and finals

Where:: Marriotts Ridge

When:: Semifinals for 3A-4A, noon; semifinals for 1A-2A 2 p.m.; finals for both classes 6 p.m.

What:: The final four regional winners in each of the state classifications will assemble for the State Dual Meet Tournament semifinals and finals for state public schools at Marriotts Ridge High School on Saturday. The four regional winners will compete on two mats in each semifinal. And the finals for both the 3A-4A and 1A-2A classes will start simultaneously at 6 p.m.
