'House' calls again

On tonight's House, the cranky doctor finally gets a patient he can relate to. In this new episode, House (Hugh Laurie) and his team try to figure out what's wrong with a man suffering from chronic pain - something House has lived with for years. No word on whether the patient is also an insufferable jerk.

Meanwhile, Foreman and Thirteen (Omar Epps and Olivia Wilde) deal with their budding relationship, and Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) gets a lesson in juggling work and parenthood.

Collegebound: Who's got Yale locked up? In a new episode of Gossip Girl, the students of St. Jude's and Constance Billard discover who's earned early admission to a certain Ivy League school. A new teacher (Laura Breckenridge) bonds with Serena (Blake Lively) and incurs the wrath of Blair (Leighton Meester) by giving her a B. Meanwhile, Chuck (Ed Westwick) finds a surprising ally in his battle with Jack (Desmond Harrington). (8 p.m., WNUV, Channel 54)

Daddy issues: Um, since when did anyone put you in the loop, Gramps? In this new episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Ricky (Daren Kagasoff) must deal with the arrival of his father, who has a plan for him and the baby all laid out. Has he bothered to consult the mother about this? Shailene Woodley, Molly Ringwald and Ken Baumann also star. (8 p.m., ABC Family)

Late night guests: Talk-show host Jimmy Fallon visits The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and actress Jennifer Aniston stops by Late Show with David Letterman.
