Mary Elizabeth Walsh and Markus Paul Mueller were married in the chapel at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Glyndon, MD on September 13, 2008. The Reverend Monsignor Lloyd E. Aiken performed the ceremony during a nuptial mass. The bride is the daughter of Celeste H. and Francis X. Walsh, Jr. of Westminster, MD and the groom is the son of Rosa and Adolf Mueller of Hilton Head Island, SC and Wernberg, Austria. The bride, who wore an ivory organza and lace gown, was given in marriage by her father. The bride was attended by Maid of Honor Jennifer Lewis of Washington, DC and bridesmaids Laura Cellini of Abingdon, MD, Stephanie Walsh, of Baltimore, MD, both sisters of the bride, and Christina Galligan of Darien, CT, sister of the groom. The flower girl was Katherine Galligan of Darien, CT, niece of the groom. Best Man was Jonathan Ray of Silver Spring, MD and groomsmen were Andrew Seiz of Hong Kong, Joel Posters of Hong Kong, and Martin Schellrat of Klagenfurt, Austria. The reception was held on the lawn of the Maryland Stallion Station, a thoroughbred breeding farm in Glyndon. After a honeymoon in Brazil, the newlyweds are residing in Bethesda, MD. The bride is a graduate of St. John's School, Westminster, MD, Notre Dame Preparatory School, Towson, MD, McDaniel College, Westminster, MD with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Political Science, and The American University, Washington, DC with a Master of Arts Degree in International Development. She is currently Vice-President and Director of Operations at AECOM International Development, Inc., Arlington, VA. The groom is a graduate of Orange High School, Moreland Hills, OH, Tufts University, Medford MA, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, and Columbia University, New York with a Master of International Affairs. He is a Managing Director of BearingPoint, Inc., McLean, VA.
