No. 1 St. Frances girls pull away early in Delaware

Tasia Bristow scored eight of her 11 points in the first quarter yesterday as No. 1 St. Frances jumped out to a 21-9 lead en route to a 75-37 win over host Ursuline Academy (Del.).

Bristow added nine assists for the Panthers (14-1), who extended their lead to 26 by halftime.

Shatyra Hawkes scored 22 points to lead St. Frances, which won its fourth consecutive game.

Boys

DUNBAR 58, LAUREL 53:: Derrell Edwards scored 25 points, and Sean Farr had 11 points and 12 rebounds as the Poets (9-3) defeated the Spartans at the Basketball Academy at Morgan State.
