Carol Sheddrick, a longtime Wachovia Bank employee and active member of Fulton Baptist Church, died of a heart attack Saturday at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. She was 47.
Carol Glasper was born in Baltimore and raised on Rubin Avenue. She was a 1980 graduate of Northwestern High School and attended Morgan State University.
She began her banking career in 1982 at the old Union Trust Co. in downtown Baltimore, and later moved to the bank's finance department in Columbia after it was taken over by Wachovia Bank.
Mrs. Sheddrick was a graduate of the Ron Thomas School of Cosmetology and styled church members' hair in a salon that she maintained in her Alameda home.
For nearly 30 years, Mrs. Sheddrick was a member of Fulton Baptist Church, where she also had been a choir member. For the past 15 years, she had been head of the church's youth ministry.
Mrs. Sheddrick enjoyed watching shows on Lifetime Television, family members said. She also liked to travel but had to curtail this in recent years because of dialysis treatments.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Fulton Baptist, 1630 W. North Ave.
Surviving are a son, Robert M. Sheddrick Jr. of Baltimore; a daughter, Erica Wagstaff of Baltimore; her parents, Lloyd and Rosa Glasper of Baltimore; a sister, Lisa Glasper of Baltimore; and two grandchildren. Her marriage to Robert M. Sheddrick Sr. ended in divorce.
