Glen Burnie man charged in fatal shooting at bar

A Glen Burnie man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man outside a bar during the weekend, Anne Arundel County police said. Ricco Clifton Gough, 28, was arrested in Baltimore on Monday and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Nathaniel Benjamin Wallace, 37, of Baltimore, police said yesterday. Two men were fighting in Dietrich's Tavern in the 7300 block of Furnace Branch Road East about midnight Saturday when bouncers forced them to leave, police said. Police said the men continued to fight in the parking lot, and one of the men was shot in the upper body. Wallace had died of his injuries when police arrived. Gough is being held without bond in the county detention center pending a bail review, police said.

Davidsonville man, 32, charged in assault case

A Davidsonville man was arrested after he threatened his family with a baseball bat, smashed a television and pointed a BB gun at officers Monday night, Anne Arundel County police said yesterday. The man's wife called police after the man bashed the TV and some pictures and swung the bat at her and her three children, police said. The woman and children fled the house. After other officers arrived, the man left the house and was arrested. Joseph Michael Anderson, 32, of the 1500 block of Themes Drive, was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree assault on a police officer, manufacturing marijuana and related lesser charges, police said.

Suspect held in Tennessee in Jan. 1 killing here

An arrest has been made in a New Year's Day homicide in Baltimore. Police said Christopher Williams was arrested Friday in Memphis, Tenn., by U.S. marshals on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the shooting of his cousin, Mario Williams, 31, outside a bar in the 700 block of N. Luzerne Ave. about 1 a.m. New Year's Day. The victim died the next day at a hospital.
