The Ravens weren't slighted this time.
After getting passed over for every Player of the Year honor, the Ravens had the only unanimous selection to the Associated Press All-Pro team - Ed Reed.
The Ravens' free safety was selected by everyone on the AP's nationwide panel of sportswriters and broadcasters who cover the NFL. Reed finished the regular season with an NFL-leading nine interceptions, returning two of them for touchdowns.

McNair backs out of rally
Steve McNair, a former quarterback for the Tennessee Titans and Ravens, backed out of a charity pep rally for Ravens fans in Nashville, Tenn., last night.
According to a Nashville television station, McNair decided not to attend the event after learning it was a Ravens rally. He believed it was just a charity one, WKRN in Nashville reported.
McNair played the first 11 seasons of his career with the Titans before being traded to the Ravens in 2006. He announced his retirement in April after playing two seasons for the Ravens.
Eight Ravens players were limited in practice and were listed as questionable for today's game: defensive tackle Justin Bannan (foot), tight end Todd Heap (back), linebacker Jarret Johnson (back), cornerbacks Samari Rolle (thigh) and Fabian Washington (neck), safety Ed Reed (knee, illness), wide receiver Derrick Mason (shoulder) and kicker Matt Stover (right ankle). All are expected to play.
Around the NFL
Washington Redskins director of player development John Jefferson was among more than 20 people laid off this week as the economic downturn took its toll on one of the NFL's most valuable franchises. Salary cap analyst Jimmy Halsell was released, along with the longtime director of publications and a member of the public relations department. Jefferson and Halsell were the only people directly involved in football operations to be laid off. ... LaDainian Tomlinson (detached tendon in groin) was officially listed as doubtful for the San Diego Chargers' game at Pittsburgh tomorrow.
