Rookie Joe Flacco threw some great long passes, ones we haven't seen sail around in Baltimore for several years. After a slow start, he completed every type of pass imaginable. It's a shame he didn't get his first 300-yard game.

The trio of center Jason Brown and guards Ben Grubbs and Chris Chester dominated Jacksonville inside. Offensive tackles Jared Gaither and Willie Anderson were strong at the point of attack but need quicker feet in pass protection.
WR
A
This was perhaps their best game of the season. Flacco knows the offense now and is going to his second and third looks. Derrick Mason had six catches for 77 yards, and Mark Clayton played just as big a part with four catches for 128 yards.
RB
B
Second-year player Le'Ron McClain was steady with 70 yards, and Willis McGahee added 24 yards on four carries. The Ravens still miss Ray Rice as a receiver out of the backfield on third downs. McClain is a bully in short-yardage situations.
DL

Jacksonville was stronger at the point of attack than expected and got some movement on tackles Justin Bannan and Haloti Ngata, but not consistently. The Ravens got strong efforts from backups Brandon McKinney and Marques Douglas.
LB
A
Inside linebacker Ray Lewis had eight tackles, and fellow linebackers Bart Scott and Terrell Suggs each had five. Suggs had two quarterback hurries. This is an athletic and dominant group, but a lot of energy is wasted with all the trash talking.
DB
A
Safety Ed Reed had two interceptions. Cornerback Frank Walker, filling in for Fabian Washington, had six tackles and also knocked down two passes. Despite five tackles, safety Jim Leonhard had problems tackling Maurice Jones-Drew.
ST
B
Matt Stover converted on two of three field-goal attempts, one from 32 yards and the other from 41. Steve Hauschka got good distance on his kickoffs. The Ravens had good coverage on punts and kickoffs but didn't manage many yards on returns.
