What? No snow on Christmas? Again? National Weather Service forecaster Chris Strong says the last Christmas Day snowfall in Baltimore was in 2002 - a miserable cold rain that ended with a dusting. The last "decent snow" we had - an inch or more - delivered 6.1 inches on Christmas 39 years ago! Sigh. Baltimore averages just one snowy Christmas in 10, but there's snow on the ground one year in four. Maybe next year.
