Central library holds kids civility program

The Central library, 10375 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, will hold two 30-minute workshops at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 30 to explore civility concepts for children ages 4 to 7 with stories, songs and a craft. Book discussion

The American Association of University Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 10 at Clyde's Restaurant in Columbia.

Board vacancy

The Wilde Lake Village Board is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the 2008-2009 board. The appointee will hold the office through the remainder of the term.

Wii Club : Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks offers a Wii Club for those ages 55 and older from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays at the Bain Center, 5470 Ruth Keeton Way, Columbia. Bowl, fish or play tennis or baseball without leaving the building. The first game is free.
