* Saint Agnes Hospital has named Dr. Norman M. Dy physician director of pay for performance and core measures. In this role, Dy will work with Cheri Hahn, assistant vice president for quality and safety and her staff to design, organize and implement pay-for-performance programs.

Dy is a board-certified internal medicine physician who is the vice chairman of medicine, chairman of the Clinical Provider Order Entry Committee and program director of the internal medicine residency program at Saint Agnes. Additionally, Dy has run his own primary care practice in Baltimore for the past 10 years.

Dy attended Yale University and medical school at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, Calif. He completed his internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Dy has held various clinical leadership positions at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Saint Agnes Hospital.

* Dr. Stanford H. Malinow of Baltimore and Dr. James Otto of Columbia have opened concierge medical practices affiliated with MDVIP, a Florida-based company that helps doctors set up practices where patients pay for enhanced health care. Malinow is board-certified in internal medicine and affiliated with Northwestern Hospital Center, Lifebridge and Sinai Hospital, Lifebridge. His office is at 2700 Quarry Lake Drive, Baltimore. Otto is board-certified in internal medicine and is affiliated with Howard County General Hospital and St. Agnes Hospital. His office is at 8835 Columbia 100 Parkway North, Columbia.
