TODAY'S MATCHUP TO WATCH

The Baltimore Sun

Bengals WR Chad Ocho Cinco vs. Ravens CB Samari Rolle

In previous games between the teams, cornerback Chris McAlister always went against Ocho Cinco. McAlister matched up better physically with Ocho Cinco than Rolle does. But McAlister is on injured reserve, so that leaves Rolle to take on Ocho Cinco. Rolle can run with Ocho Cinco, but look for the Ravens to give Rolle support over the top with safety Ed Reed.

Bengals QB Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Ravens S Ed Reed

Reed eats up young quarterbacks. Just ask the Philadelphia Eagles' Kevin Kolb. Despite a shoulder-neck injury that has cut back on his hanging around the line of scrimmage on first down, Reed still plays a mean center field. Few safeties can read quarterbacks as well. Fitzpatrick has to know where Reed is or he could be baited into an interception or two.

Edge: Reed:

Bengals LB Dhani Jones vs. Ravens C Jason Brown

Jones leads the Bengals in tackles with 78. Jones is relentless and reads his keys well. He can run sideline-to-sideline. Brown is good at the point of attack and runs well. He can make blocks into the second level and has to cut off Jones and his pursuit angles.
