Rec council to hold Holiday Craft Fair

The South Laurel Recreation Council Inc. will present its 33rd anniversary Holiday Craft Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 at Deerfield Run Community Center, 13000 Laurel-Bowie Road (Route 197) in South Laurel.

Artists and artisans will display and sell their work, demonstrate their crafts and accept commissions. Lunch, beverages and snacks will be served all day. Bake sales by community organizations will offer treats and holiday baked goods. Door prizes and refreshments will be available.

Those who attend can register for holiday workshops for children, teens, adults and families from noon to 4 p.m.

Admission is free, and free parking is available a quarter-mile west of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway on Route 197. Continuous free shuttle service will be available from Towne Centre Shopping Center at Route 197 and Contee Road.
