BACKING UP HIS WORDS: After saying earlier this week that this game could make or break the Ravens' season, linebacker-defensive end Terrell Suggs returned an interception 44 yards for a touchdown. His first career score broke a 3-3 tie in the second quarter, and the Ravens would never relinquish the lead.

FAMILIAR TURF FOR MCGAHEE: Ravens running back Willis McGahee rushed for 105 yards, his first 100-yard game since Dec. 23, 2007, his last trip to South Florida. The former University of Miami star has averaged 94.4 rushing yards in four games at Dolphin Stadium.

MCALISTER BENCHED: The Ravens started Fabian Washington and Frank Walker at cornerback, leaving Chris McAlister on the sideline for all but eight plays. Coach John Harbaugh said the team wanted to rest McAlister's injured knee. McAlister, who was never on the injury report last week, said it was a coaching decision.

FLACCO BOUNCES BACK: After a potential interception was dropped at the goal line, rookie Joe Flacco threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Derrick Mason in the second quarter. Flacco finished with a career-high 120.2 rating, but he has to learn how to hold on to the ball better.

GOING HOME HAPPY: In addition to ending a three-game losing streak this season, the Ravens picked up their first road victory since Oct. 7, 2007. The Ravens (3-3) remain in second place in the AFC North, two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-1).

THEY SAID IT: "You think it's not going to be [emotional] because you're focused on trying to win a game. Then, if you're any kind of competitor, you feel like you have something to prove. The emotions just come out, and there's not a lot you can do about it."

COMING ATTRACTION: The Ravens play their only home game in a six-week stretch when they face the Oakland Raiders (2-4), who beat the New York Jets in overtime on a club-record 57-yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski.
