Now that Matt Millen is out as president of the Lions, can coach Rod Marinelli be far behind? A defensive line coach with the Buccaneers when he was hired in 2006, Marinelli has a 10-25 record and slim prospects for surviving with a new regime.


Boiling pot

Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress continues to be an enigma. He gave the team a big year - including great playoff performances en route to the Super Bowl title - after a contract extension last season. Docked two paychecks for skipping practice and not telling the team, he won't be a happy camper.


Headed south

A Pro Bowl player last year, Browns wide-out Braylon Edwards has developed alligator arms this season. Through three games, he has eight catches, six drops and four penalties. It can't all be Derek Anderson's fault.

Fans' choice

Quarterback Matt Schaub was all the rage a year ago in the Texans' first nonlosing season. After six turnovers in two starts, he's a public enemy. Fans want Schaub benched for journeyman backup Sage Rosenfels.
