'Top Model' makeovers

The Baltimore Sun

It is always a special moment when people in love with their looks are told they have to change them - dramatically. That's the deal tonight on America's Next Top Model when supermodel and over-the-top diva Tyra Banks orders up makeovers for her wannabes. Isis, the contestant from Prince George's County who self-identifies as a woman in a man's body, got decent camera time last week. It looks as if she is going to be around for a while. PAINT IT BLACK Tonight on Comedy Central's The Root of All Evil, the great Lewis Black asks the burning question: "Which is more vile, baby boomers or Gen X?" Give him a break; Black can't keep touring forever. And this is easy money. And I can't help but smile every time he starts to go off on anything. But I do hope he finds a forum to display his "A" game on national politics before November. Still, his mere presence on The Root of All Evil is worth at least two stars. (10:30 p.m., Comedy Central). ** 1/2

LATE-NIGHT GUESTS Actor Nicolas Cage and actress Anna Torv visit Late Show With David Letterman (11:35 p.m., CBS). Musician George Clinton performs with the Gangsters of Love All Stars on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno (11:35 p.m., NBC).
