Man charged in shooting in Harford arrested in Ga.

The Baltimore Sun

A 26-year-old Baltimore man, charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault in connection with a March shooting in Harford County, was arrested in Georgia last week and returned to Maryland, authorities said yesterday.

Waymond Lee Harrison, formerly of Lionhead Court, was arrested without incident at a relative's home in Hiram, Ga., police said. He waived extradition and is being held without bond at the Harford County Detention Center.

Harrison is charged with shooting Gary D. Davenport, 29, in his home on Edgewater Drive in Edgewood on March 27.

Davenport, who survived several gunshot wounds, including one to his head, is also incarcerated at the county detention center, police said. Davenport has been charged in a double shooting June 14 that claimed the life of Taurean P. Williams, 18, and wounded his brother, Timothy P. Williams, 20, both of Candlewood Drive in Edgewood, authorities said.

Davenport faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, authorities said.

Police said they have not established any connection in the three shootings but are continuing to investigate.
