Summit Solutions is honored

Summit Solutions LLC, an Ellicott City firm, has been recognized by the Department of Defense with a Pro Patria Award, a state-level award given to a civilian employer. Summit received the award from the Maryland Committee for Employer Support of the National Guard and Reserve.

The award recognizes small-business employers who have adopted personnel policies that make it easier for employees to serve as National Guard members and members of the Reserve.

Summit is a woman-owned, veteran-owned small business, offering discovery informatics, software and system engineering and program management strategies to the intelligence community and the Department of Defense.

Company joins NeoTech Incubator

AASKI Technology Inc., a company providing IP networking, satellite communications, logistics and operations and project management support to the Department of Defense and commercial customers, has joined the Center for Business and Technology Development's NeoTech Incubator.

The move to the center is to provide a base of operations in Maryland to address the changes brought by base realignment and closure while managing the risks of opening a branch.

The staff of AASKI, a minority, woman-owned business founded in 1997, consists of engineers with technical, military and business backgrounds.
