Robbery try/shooting : Two men were walking in the 1600 block of E. Pratt St. about 1:15 a.m. Saturday on their way home from work when they were stopped by three men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded their money. One of the victims was shot in the right leg before the gunman and his accomplices fled on foot. The wounded man was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and was reported in fair condition.

Theft : A GPS device valued at $300 was stolen over the weekend from a 2004 BMW parked in the 100 block of S. East Ave.

Theft : Someone broke into a 1998 Nissan Altima parked in the 2700 block of E. Baltimore St. over the weekend and stole an AM-FM radio and a digital camera. The property was valued at nearly $500.

Robbery : After a man entered Royal Farms in the 3300 block of E. Fayette St. about 6 p.m. Saturday and asked for a pack of cigarettes, he displayed a handgun and ordered the clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. The man escaped with $72 and the pack of cigarettes.

Burglary: A water heater and copper piping were stolen between June 20 and Saturday from a house in the 3800 block of Bank St. The property was valued at more than $500.

Robbery: Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a man, 45, of his cell phone about 1:30 p.m. Friday while the victim worked on a house in the 500 block of N. Port St.


Assault : Several people were attending a birthday party at Druid Hill Park on Saturday evening when an argument broke out between a man, 20, another man and a woman. During the argument, the 20-year-old man was sprayed in the face with a chemical irritant. Charged with assault were a woman and a man, both age 20. Their names were not available.


Shooting: An unidentified man was shot in the head and upper body in the 2700 block of Carver Road about noon Friday and was admitted in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Details of the shooting were not available.

Baltimore County


Arrest: Two men were involved in an altercation on the front porch of a house in the first block of Kirwin Court about 1:30 a.m. Saturday when one stabbed the other in the head with a knife. The victim was treated at Franklin Square Hospital Center and was released. Arrested a short time later at his home in the 3300 block of E. Joppa Road and charged with first- and second-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon was Douglas Hayward, 50.


Robbery : A gunman robbed Royal Farms in the 6400 block of Windsor Mill Road of an undisclosed sum of money and cigarettes about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
