A 65-year-old Reisterstown man was sentenced yesterday to more than 11 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised probation for distributing images of child pornography over the Internet, according to the Maryland U.S. attorney's office.

William Lee Burdette Jr. pleaded guilty Aug. 1 to e-mailing an undercover sheriff's deputy from Carroll County who was posing as a man interested in receiving pictures of children engaged in sex acts, federal prosecutors said.

The initial e-mails, sent in 2005, contained attachments showing two nude girls having sex with an adult male, the prosecutors said.

Authorities said they searched Burdette's home Dec. 8, 2005, and found a computer with 472 images and two videos of child pornography.
