Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting: The driver of a private sedan service was shot shortly before 9 p.m. yesterday at Frederick and Beechfield avenues, apparently by a passenger, and was reported in very serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Witnesses saw the gunman flee the scene on foot. The victim's name was not released.


Stabbing: Assault charges were pending against a 7-year-old boy who police say stabbed a girl, 11, in the left arm when she attempted to break up a fight between at least two other youngsters in the 1100 block of Kenwood Ave. about 3 p.m. Monday. The girl was treated at the scene by medics.

Stolen vehicle : A blue 2007 Ford Focus with tags 2DN H48 was stolen Monday in the 1600 block of N. Durham St.

Theft: A man, 70, was shopping in a store in the 1900 block of Harford Ave. on Tuesday when another man stole his Raleigh M-60 mountain bike that was parked outside.

Theft : Police were seeking a man who stole a GPS device and an envelope containing $600 from the living room of a house in the 500 block of E. Preston St. on Monday.


Shooting: A woman was arguing with the driver of a vehicle stopped in the first block of Commerce St. about midnight Monday when her male friend approached the vehicle to aid her. The driver of the vehicle fired a shot through the window that struck the woman's friend in the left arm. The victim, 25, was treated at a hospital. No arrest had been made.

Robbery: A man entered Subway in the 300 block of Light St. about 9:30 a.m. Monday and ordered an employee to open the safe. When the employee said there was no money there, the robber took money from the register and fled.
