Hospitality expo slated set for Sept.

The Mid-Atlantic Food, Beverage and Lodging Expo, a two-day show to be held Sept.17 and 18 at the Baltimore Convention Center, will feature an invitation-only talk to industry professionals by Dawn Sweeney, president and chief executive officer of the National Restaurant Association.

The show is produced in coordination with the Restaurant Association of Maryland, a Columbia-based local affiliate of the NRA. The expo provides access to more than 300 exhibiting companies.

Women's network to meet June 18

The Business Women's Network of Howard County will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 18 at That's Amore restaurant in Columbia.

John Herman Jr., an expert in business failure and author of Hermanisms and The Innkeeper Tales, will discuss "What Every Entrepreneur Should Know." Herman has founded 21 companies and helped to start Equity Partners Inc., a firm providing assistance to financially troubled companies.

A new office for chiropractor

Atlas Family Chiropractic will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating its opening at a new location at 7120 Minstrel Way, Suite 104, Columbia, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today.

Food, refreshments, a raffle and free chair massages will be offered.


Seeking vendors: Columbia Association is seeking vendors for its 14th Columbia International Day, to be held from noon to 11 p.m. July 26 at the Columbia Lakefront Plaza in Town Center. Also needed are artisans interested in displaying or selling items with an international theme.
