Defense firm to expand in facility next to APG

R4, a defense services company in Edgewood, has signed an agreement for an expansion project in support of its programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

A defense services company that provides rapid-response fielding support and soldier-to-soldier training solutions to the U.S. Army, R4 is planning a 20,000-square-foot facility to continue and enhance its client support in a convenient location.

The new facility next to APG will better help R4 provide its hands-on and time-sensitive support and technical training to U.S. soldiers based at APG.

Harford County Executive David R. Craig said that the expansion represents an early move related to BRAC.

"Harford County is pleased to welcome this new company to our county and this is an exciting time to see new technologies and new solutions fielded in Harford County that directly protects our war fighters," Craig said.

The development of the new APG facility will include an investment of nearly $1 million.
