The weather service says the latest trace of snow in Baltimore fell on this date in 1951. I doubt it. Sun clips describe only a wicked thunderstorm, and a low of 55. But what a storm. In 30 minutes it flooded basements, popped sewer covers and worse. The Evening Sun reported: "Patrons of a bar at Harford road and Homestead street ... had to take off their shoes and socks and roll their trousers to drink after rising water ... inundated the bar rail."
