Two arrested after police find drugs
Two Glen Burnie men were arrested Wednesday at the Arundel Mills Mall after county police broke up an apparent drug deal and seized $27,000 in marijuana and Ecstasy pills, police said.
After receiving information that a drug transaction would be occurring at the mall and that the suppliers would be driving a green Chevrolet Cavalier, detectives went to the mall about 9:30 p.m. and observed a car matching that description, police said.
The driver, Kean Mallett, 23, and passenger, Dontaine Thompson, 26, were arrested after police found a loaded 9 mm pistol and five Ecstasy pills in Thompson's pockets, along with two gallon-sized plastic bags filled with marijuana in the car, police said. The marijuana had a total weight of 923 grams.
Police said Mallett, of the 8100 block of Harold Court, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute.

Two arrests stem from loud party
Two men were arrested Tuesday night after police twice tried to break up a party in Eastport, police said.
Annapolis police received multiple complaints about a loud party in the 100 block of Eastern Avenue and asked participants to reduce the noise.
When officers responded a second time, an officer approaching the home from the back smelled an odor of marijuana. Police say officers saw Kevin Franklin Gage, 48, of Los Angeles smoking a marijuana cigarette, police said. He was charged with drug possession.
Officers received a third complaint and shut the party down. Erik Frank Hill, 28, of East Lansing, Mich., argued with officers and refused to leave, and he was charged with disorderly conduct and failing to obey a lawful order, police said.
Traffic stop yields two arrests
Two men were arrested after their vehicle was stopped for running a red light, and a stolen license plate and drugs were inside, police said.
The car was stopped about 10:55 p.m. Tuesday night at Chinquapin Round Road and West Street.
Police said a detached Maryland license plate was found in the car, and a check showed that it had been stolen. Crack cocaine was also located on the passenger, Damian Dermont Cook, 24, of Tripp Creek Court. He was charged with theft and possession of drugs with intent to distribute, police said.
The driver, Charles Edward Pritchett, 32, of Heritage Court, was also charged with theft and a traffic violation.
