Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five

On April 25, 2008, BRUCE N. BROWN of Joppa, MD. Beloved husband of the late Isabelle Winning Kilgore Brown. Loving brother of Dale H. Brown and his wife, Joan and the late Maidee Kerr-Boyd. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Jeanne Bayer, Maidee Spencer, Bruce Allen Kerr, Susan Merrill, and Mark Brown. Mr. Brown was a captain un the U.S. Air Force and the 94th Fighter Squadron during WWII. He worked at Martin Marietta on the Gemini and the Mercury projects, and was also employed at APG in Balistic Research. Service will be held at Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Joppa, MD on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air, MD. Friends may call at McComas Funeral Home, P.A., in Abingdon, MD on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Wednesday at the church in Joppa, from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
