The White Marsh library will celebrate its 20th year of service with activities for all ages Saturday at 8133 Sandpiper Circle.
Activities will include an all-day slide show of the library's history, entertainment, face painting and snacks.
At 11 a.m., there will be performances of magic, juggling and balloon tricks. At 2 p.m., there will be a presentation of yo-yo fun and safety tips in an interactive demonstration.
Seminar focuses on senior issues
The county Department of Aging and Commission on Aging will hold a "Senior Solutions Conference" from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Sheppard Pratt Conference Center in Towson.
"The Courage to Move Forward: Moving Forward As An Aging Society" is geared to those who work with older adults and their families.
Bill Thomas, founder of the Eden Alternative, will be the keynote speaker.
Arthritis Foundation to hold walk Saturday
The Arthritis Foundation will hold the annual Baltimore County Arthritis Walk on Saturday at Towson University's Burdick Field.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the walk at 11 a.m.
Social Services seeks clothes, housewares
The volunteer office of the county Department of Social Services is now accepting gently used, in-season clothes and housewares at 6401 York Road.
Donations may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and at other times by appointment.

Open house for seniors planned
Greater Baltimore Medical Center's Department of Otolaryngology will hold an open house for seniors, "Better Hearing Health ... As We Age," from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 6 in Suite 250 at Physicians Pavilion North, 6535 N. Charles St.
Complimentary hearing, blood pressure and oral cancer screenings will be available.
