*The Modular Building Institute announced that Baltimore-based Williams Scotsman won two first-place awards and two honorable mentions for building projects during the past year. The awards were presented at the group's annual national convention.


*Integral Systems Inc. of Lanham has contracted to provide a complete integrated ground control network for Bermuda-based ProtoStar-II Ltd. The system includes primary and backup satellite control network and payload operations.

*Marshall Management Inc., based in Salisbury, contracted to manage the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea. The hotel management contract is the company's fourth in New York City.


*The Maryland Chamber of Commerce announced the induction into the Maryland Business Hall of Fame of Linda Gooden, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services; Karen H. Oertel, president of W.H. Harris Seafood and Harris Crab House; and John J. Oliver Jr., publisher and chief executive officer of the Afro-American Newspapers.

New clients

*Imre Communications has added Boral Bricks Inc., a national brick-manufacturing company, Mannington Mills, a flooring manufacturer, Beazer Homes, a builder of single-family houses, and United Industries, an international consumer-products company, as clients.

*Devaney & Associates announced that the Towson-based public relations firms has signed the Shafer Center as a client. The two-year old center provides developmental treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders.


*Columbia Bank announced that it has opened its first Anne Arundel County branch. The Howard County-based bank's newest branch, its 27th, is in Arundel Preserve, at 7692 Dorchester Blvd. near the intersection of Route 175 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
