The Baltimore Sun

Brendan Harrison (Mount Hebron) scored the go-ahead goal with 5:01 left to lift host Mount St. Mary's past VMI, 11-8, yesterday at Waldron Family Stadium.

Geery Grant and Dan Mohr each had hat tricks for the Mount (2-10, 2-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

Mount St. Mary's trailed 8-7 going into the fourth quarter before scoring four straight. Mohr tied the game at 8 with 6:06 left when he converted a pass from Joe Derwent (Glenelg). Harrison then gave the Mount its first lead since early in the second quarter when he fired a shot past VMI goalkeeper Sean McCoy with 5:01 on the clock for a 9-8 advantage.

The loss kept the Keydets (5-8, 4-3) from advancing to the MAAC tournament.

McDaniel 18, Hood 2 -- Gibbs Preston (McDonogh) recorded four goals and an assist to power the visiting Green Terror (5-9) past the Blazers (0-17).

McDaniel 22, Muhlenberg 16 -- Erin Hopkins had a career-high 11 points (eight goals, three assists) as the host Green Terror (10-6) beat the Mules (11-5).
