Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting -- Police responding to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of N. Carey St. near Cumberland Street on Monday found a man lying in an alley who had been shot in the lower back. He was taken by ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, and is expected to survive.

Cutting -- A warrant has been issued charging a 53-year-old man with aggravated assault in the cutting Saturday night of his cousin in the 1100 block of W. Lafayette Ave. The two men were arguing when the victim, 44, was cut on the left arm with a 6-inch-long knife. The victim was treated at a hospital for a 4-inch-long laceration before applying for the warrant.


Stolen vehicle -- A blue, four-door 2008 Lincoln with Florida tags W241JQ was stolen Sunday in the 100 block of Warren St.

Baltimore County


Burglary -- An air compressor and a power washer - all valued at nearly $800 - were stolen between April 12 and Sunday from a shed in the 4100 block of Pinedale Drive.

Burglar -- When employees of Living Nails Salon in the 6700 block of Walther Blvd. reported to work Monday morning, they noticed ceiling tiles lying on the floor and called police. An investigation showed someone entered the business through a roof-top air duct over the weekend and destroyed the tiles while dropping to the floor. No property was reported missing.


Burglary -- A 13-inch television, a digital video disc player and a cordless telephone were stolen Monday from a house in the 8500 block of Church Lane.

Robbery -- Police were seeking three men, one armed with a handgun, who entered the Shell station in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road about 4:30 p.m. Monday and drove off in a black Chevrolet Impala with a small sum of cash.

Burglary -- A bicycle valued at $1,000 was stolen between Friday and Monday from a storage locker in an apartment building in the 7200 block of Valley Country Court.
