Steele Stanwick's goal with 17.5 seconds remaining gave No. 3 Loyola a 5-4 victory over No. 4 St. Mary's.

The host Saints (11-3) never led, but the Dons (8-2) could not separate themselves by more than one goal.

Stanwick scored twice to lead Loyola. J.P. Dalton paced St. Mary's with a pair of goals and Riley Hansen added one. The score was tied at 2 at halftime.

No. 2 Calvert Hall 17, No. 9 Archbishop Spalding 5 -- The Cardinals took an early lead en route to a rout of the visiting Cavaliers. Garden City (N.Y.) 16, No. 9 St. Mary's 9 -- The Saints (9-6) outplayed the visiting five-time New York state champion Trojans (9-0) in the second half but couldn't overcome a 12-2 halftime deficit. St. Mary's outscored the Trojans 7-4 after making halftime adjustments to counter the speed of the Garden City attack. Megan Schrum sparked the Saints' offense, scoring two goals and playing a solid all-around game. Jen Fox also had two goals for the Saints.

Atholton 1, Hammond 0 -- Haylie Goheen out-dueled Stephanie Speierman as the Raiders (7-4) outlasted the host Golden Bears in eight innings. The Raiders' freshman right-hander struck out 14 and walked one, giving up only a leadoff single in a one-hit shutout. Goheen's performance was necessary, because Speierman, who has thrown five no-hitters this season, struck out 17 and surrendered just one hit. Sam Keeter scored the only run in the eighth when she scored on a bunt.
