Yankees outlook

The Yankees had won three in a row before falling to the Boston Red Sox, 7-5, last night, costing New York a share of first place in the American League East. The Yankees have played the majority of their games in their own division, going 8-6. Catcher Jorge Posada is expected to catch tomorrow after being used as the designated hitter to compensate for a strained right shoulder. Pitcher Joba Chamberlain remains on bereavement leave, and the club isn't sure when he'll return. The Orioles went 9-9 against the Yankees last season, the first time they've finished .500 or better against them since 1997. New York has won the season series 22 of the last 25 years. The Yankees haven't lost a season series to the Orioles since 1997, going 110-57 during that span.
