Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting -- An unidentified man who had been shot in the face Monday in the 2300 block of Edmondson Ave. was reported in serious condition at University of Maryland Medical Center.


Shooting -- A man, 22, was reported in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was shot in the left side and the left hand by an unknown assailant in the 2700 block of E. Fayette St. about 3 a.m. Monday.

Assault -- A woman, 26, was walking in the 500 block of S. Macon St. about 6 a.m. Monday when she was attacked by a man armed with a machete who cut her on the right hand during an exchange of words. The woman was treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Burglary -- Cash, a computer and other property - all valued at nearly $2,500 - were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 3400 block of Mount Pleasant St. by someone who entered through the front door.


Theft -- A motorized scooter valued at $1,500 was stolen Saturday from the rear yard of a house in the 1600 block of N. Milton Ave. The theft was reported Sunday.

Theft -- A wallet and a cell phone were stolen Monday from a 2005 Hyundai Elantra parked in the 700 block of Graves St.

Baltimore County


Officer assaulted -- When Officer Bruce Kurtz responded to a report of vandalism outside Food Lion in the 8600 block of Walther Blvd. about 5 a.m. Monday, he was confronted by a boy who threw a bottle at him but missed. Arrested and charged as an adult with assaulting a police officer was Christopher Frazier, 16, of the 9000 block of Waltham Woods Court. A District Court commissioner later released Frazier on his own recognizance.

Burglary -- Someone stole $60, credit cards, and video games Monday from an apartment in the 9400 block of Oak Park Drive.


Burglary -- Two 19-inch TVs were stolen between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday from a group home in the 700 block of Temple Cliff Road.
