OUTLOOK -- The Patriots pulled off a bit of a surprise in winning last spring's Interscholastic Athletic Asso ciation of Maryland A Conference ti tle, but they look like champions this year. Casey Ancarrow, Allyson Carey, Brittany Dashiell and Grace Gaeng have helped John Carroll to a 6-0 start. Mount de Sales started 3-3, and the Sailors were having problems stopping teams with good offenses - and the Patriots have one.

WHEN -- Friday, 3:30 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- C.M. Wright opened the season with five straight wins, in cluding last week's impressive 7-3 vic tory over Arundel. Brad Markey pitched a complete game, and Woody Wlodarczyk hit a three-run homer. Fallston won some tough games early on, beating Franklin, Bel Air and Joppatowne.

WHEN -- Friday, 3:30 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- Both teams have gotten off to good starts. C.M. Wright battled through a tough schedule to go 3-2, losing to John Carroll in extra in nings. The Mustangs have scored 35 runs in their first five games. But Fallston has started off even better. The Cougars won 12-1 and 13-0 in their first two games.
