BLADES OF GLORY
Welcome in the spring with a little ice. Produced by Olympic figure skater Scott Hamilton, Smucker's Stars on Ice stops at the 1st Mariner Arena today. This event stars Olympian Sasha Cohen and more than a dozen other national and world champions, including Marylander Kimmie Meissner and Evan Lysacek. A portion of the ticket sales benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

HOT TIME AHEAD
On Saturday, the Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival will celebrate America's unique liquor and food. More than 60 beers, 40 bourbons and five barbecue stands will be available for tasting. Throughout the day, there will be tasting classes, musical performances, kids' activities and more. A portion of ticket sales benefits Sister Slippers, a charity that provides shoes to children in need.
The festival is 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds' 4-H building. Tickets are $15-$40. Kids 12 and under are admitted free. Scottish composer James MacMillan and English pianist Rolf Hind join talents for "The British Isles." MacMillan conducts two of his own Scottish-influenced pieces and Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, accompanied by Hind on piano. The performance is part of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's Year of the Composer.
Performances are 8 p.m. today at the Music Center at Strathmore , and 8 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Tickets are $18-$84.
