Was this a spring training game or Ravens minicamp?
With only a few regulars on the trip to Viera, Fla., which requires a bus ride up I-95 that lasts at least 2 1/2 hours, the Orioles went with their backups and tapped into their minor league camp for extra players. There were so many guys wearing uniform numbers in the 70s and 80s, the team looked as if it were sending out its offensive and defensive linemen to face the Washington Nationals.
Center fielder Adam Jones and shortstop Luis Hernandez were the only projected everyday players who dressed at Space Coast Stadium. Oscar Salazar played second base and batted cleanup. Brandon Fahey started at third base.
Pitchers Craig Anderson, Jim Miller and Andy Mitchell, catcher Zach Dillon, infielder Pedro Florimon and outfielder Adam Stern joined the team for one day. Stern stood out among the crowd. He wore No. 18.
Must be the quarterback.
