Baltimore

Southwestern

Victim identified -- Police released yesterday the name of the man found shot about 3:15 p.m. March 9 in his car, which was parked in the 700 block of Wildwood Parkway. Levette Johnson, 35, of Frederick County was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died about hour later. No arrest had been made.

Eastern

Robbery -- A man, 24, was walking in the 1500 block of Edison Highway about 10 p.m. Sunday when a gunman got out of a white car and robbed him of $20, a cell phone and a check for $250.

Northern

Stolen vehicle -- A 1997 Honda Accord with tags 5BH L60 that had been stored at an auto repair shop in the 400 block of E. 24th St. since July 1 was stolen early that month. The theft was reported Sunday.

Central

Theft -- A GPS device valued at $700 was stolen Sunday from a 2002 Chrysler van parked in the first block of S. Howard St. Entry was made by breaking a front window. On the same street Sunday, someone entered a 2003 Toyota after breaking a window and stole a digital camera valued at $800.

Robbery try -- A woman, 52, was walking in the 300 block of Park Ave. about 6:15 p.m. Saturday when a woman attempted to steal her purse while threatening her with a piece of jagged glass. Two men who witnessed the incident approached, causing the would-be thief to flee without stealing anything.

Theft -- A radar detector valued at $400 was stolen Sunday from a 2004 Lexus parked in the 1200 block of N. Charles St.

Theft -- Two iPods - all valued at $800 - were stolen Sunday from a 2006 Saab parked in the 100 block of E. Read St.

Southeastern

Shooting -- Police were near the 2600 block of McElderry St. about midnight Friday when they heard at least three gunshots and found a male, 17, lying in the street. The victim had been shot at least once in the back and was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was reported in serious condition.

Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a 2002 Dodge Intrepid with unknown temporary tags that was stolen over the weekend in the 400 block of Gusryan St.

Assault and robbery -- Police were seeking several people who assaulted a woman outside a bar in the 700 block of S. Broadway about 1 a.m. Sunday and robbed her of $40. The victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was admitted with a broken nose and a lacerated liver. Anyone knowing her assailants is asked to call the district at 410-396-2422.

Southern

Stolen vehicle -- A black 1999 Ford Explorer with unknown temporary tags was stolen between Saturday and Sunday in the 2500 block of Marbourne Ave.

Robbery -- Police were seeking two men who assaulted a woman, 21, in the 1300 block of Cambria St. about 3 p.m. Friday and stole money from her coat pocket and stole her purse containing a digital camera - all valued at $300.

Burglary -- A laptop computer valued at $1,500 was stolen over the weekend from a house in the 1000 block of Hollins St. by someone who entered through a rear window.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville

Burglary -- A man broke into the rear of AAI Corp. in the 14600 block of York Road about 10:40 a.m. Sunday and stole two computer monitors.

Pikesville

Burglaries -- Someone broke into a video store in the 8000 block of Liberty Road on Sunday night through a rear door then attempted to gain entry into Cash Mart, a check cashing firm next door, through a wall. No entry was gained into the second business, and no property was stolen from either firm. Police said tools used in the break-ins were found at the scene.
