The Art Rooms, a professional art supply store in Havre de Grace, is seeking artists for a creative endeavor to benefit the Harford County and Cecil County humane societies.
Artists' purchases of either a cat or dog figurine ($17.79 each) from The Art Rooms will include a donation of $2.50, with a matching donation from The Art Rooms, to the humane societies.
Artists are asked to decorate and/or paint their cat or dog and return it to The Art Rooms by April 1. Figurines will be judged April 3 and 4.
The best cat and dog figurines will be selected and winners will be awarded a $20 gift card to The Art Rooms.
An exhibit and sale of the dog and cat figurines will be held April 7 to May 23.
