Mount Hebron High School will present the musical, Hello Dolly! at 7 p.m. April 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the school's auditorium.
The show, which is appropriate for all ages, is costumed by Barbara Bogart. Musical direction is by Robert Johnston and Chris Herttenbach. Choreography is by Amanda Tschirgi. Tom Sankey directs.

Barnes & Noble to hold story time
Barnes & Noble Booksellers in the Long Gate Shopping Center in Ellicott City will offer a story time and book signing with Shirley Menendez, author of B is for Blue Crab: A Maryland Alphabet, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Each letter of the alphabet illustrates a unique aspect of the state of Maryland. The program is suitable for children and adults.

'West Side Story' at Centennial High
Centennial High School will present West Side Story at 7 p.m. April 2-4, and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 5.

Fire department to host Spring Fling
The Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department's Junior firefighters will sponsor a Spring Fling youth dance for ages 9-15 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. April 19 at the firehouse.

Military
Completes training -- Marine Corps Pfc. Nathan M. Perrault, son of Barbara A. and Donald J. Perrault of Ellicott City, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C., and was promoted to his current rank. He completed 12 weeks of training designed to challenge new recruits physically and mentally, and ended the training with "The Crucible," a 54-hour team problem-solving effort.

Parents sought -- Centennial High School's PTSA is seeking parents willing to serve on the PTSA Nominating Committee. Over the next few weeks, the committee is to will come up with a slate of officers to serve on the 2008-2009 PTSA Executive Board. The PTSA will vote on this slate at a May general meeting. Soccer program -- Registration is open for the Elkridge Youth Organization soccer program. Regular registration ended Feb. 29; late registration ends March 31. The co-ed, recreational program emphasizes instruction, fitness and fun. Players ages 5-17 are welcome.
