Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Assault/arrest -- Police responding to a report of a man armed with a gun in a house in the 2300 block of Aiken St. about 11 a.m. Wednesday were told by a female resident that the man had struck and kicked her a few minutes earlier and threatened her with the weapon. Arrested and charged with assault was Derron Burston, 29, of the same address. The woman was not seriously injured.

Assault -- A man, 61, was arrested Wednesday evening and charged with assault by threatening a woman, 40, with a knife in their home in the 2400 block of Hoffman St. The man's name was not available.

Assault/arrest -- A woman, 26, was walking in the 1000 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. about 10 p.m. Wednesday when she exchanged words with a teenage girl. During the conversation, the girl struck the woman on the head with an umbrella and was arrested a short time later. The girl, 14, was charged as a juvenile with assault. The woman suffered a minor head injury.


Shooting -- Police were seeking a 22-year-old man who fired two shots at another man, 18, about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday during an argument in the 500 block of N. Streeper St. and hit the victim once in the upper left leg. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Theft -- A stereo system valued at $300 was stolen Tuesday from a 2007 Jeep Wrangler parked in the 100 block of S. Washington St. by someone who broke a window to enter the vehicle.

Theft -- A computer printer and a GPS system - all valued at $1,500 - were stolen Tuesday from a 2000 Jeep parked in the 200 block of S. Wolfe St. by someone who entered the vehicle after breaking a window.

Theft -- Someone entered a 1993 Toyota Camry parked in the 500 block of N. Lakewood Ave. between Wednesday and Thursday after breaking a side window and stole a camera, an iPod and several compact discs - all valued at $260.

Theft -- A catalytic converter valued at $800 was stolen from a 2001 Jeep parked in the 700 block of S. Clinton St. between Wednesday and Thursday.
