The musical king

Lerner and Loewe, known for musicals such as My Fair Lady, adapted T.H. White's The Once and Future King into Camelot. The musical focuses on King Arthur's torment over the affair between his wife, Guenevere, and Sir Lancelot. The traveling production opens at the Hippodrome on Tuesday and stars Lou Diamond Phillips as King Arthur. Phillips is famous for his roles in Young Guns, Stand and Deliver, La Bamba and the Broadway production of The King and I.

Yarns from Ireland

Irish storyteller and memoirist Frank McCourt always has a yarn to spin. McCourt has written three memoirs that span his life, from his impoverished childhood to his struggles as a young man in New York. The memoir of his childhood in Ireland, Angela's Ashes, won the Pulitzer Prize and was adapted into a film. McCourt will lecture at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on Tuesday as part of the Baltimore Speakers Series.

Hop over to the zoo

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore has spring fever Saturday and Sunday. As part of the Bunny BonanZOO event, there will be egg hunts, a puppet show, and chances to meet animals and their trainers. Eggs collected can be traded in for candy. When the egg hunts are over, trainers will offer chats and insights at the otter, elephant, leopard, giraffe and polar bear exhibits.

Egg hunts will be at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon; the puppet show will be at noon. Education outposts and trainer chats will be held throughout the day.
